Sprouts Montessori of Bend is licensed by the Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC), to care for children ages six weeks to twelve years old. We operate three programs in Bend’s Midtown and Orchard neighborhoods:

Our certified center features two distinct spaces: a cozy Pre-Primary group limited to ten children (ages 2–3y) that smoothly transitions into a rich, full-scale Montessori Primary environment (ages 3–7y).

Sprouts House (CF 505439)

1636 NE 5th ST, Bend

We operate a certified family childcare home designed specifically to support your toddler's natural development (ages 1–3 years).

Orchard Infant Nest (CC 504830)

502 NE Revere AVE, Bend

Our Orchard Infant Nest provides a calm, beautifully prepared environment tailored to the unique developmental needs of our youngest children (ages 6 weeks - 30 months).

About Sprouts:

Genuine relationships form the heart of our school. We recognize children’s unique interests, needs, and backgrounds, and offer support to each individual as they begin to explore the world beyond their homes. At Sprouts Montessori, students are offered a “home away from home”. Within our safe, peaceful and loving settings, children are able to relax, have fun and make new friends.

We garden and play in our dedicated outdoor spaces, and we explore the neighborhood together as we visit our parks and playgrounds. Sprouts students also enjoy fun and cozy group times for stories, music, sharing and presentations.

The Director and Owner:‍ ‍

Sprouts Montessori of Bend is owned and operated by Sharon Richardson. She received her BA in Developmental Psychology from Boston University, and her Primary (2.9-7y) Montessori certification and California PK-Gr12 Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from Saint Mary’s College of CA. She also trained in Montessori elementary methods at the Montessori World Educational Institute in Morrow Bay, CA, and received specialized training in assisting and advising parents of young children (prenatal-3 years old) at The Montessori Institute-San Diego from the late and esteemed Dr. Sylvana Montanaro.
